Kids Drums and Guitar
A company called First Act makes inexpensive musical instruments for kids.
Below we have some photos of their mini drum kit and acoustic guitar.
Four drums a cymbol and a hi-hat is what makes up this mini kit.
Not bad for a starter kit considering that some of the most popular
music on the radio is made using less.
The snare drum on the left has a little knob on the side that is used
to raise and lower the wire brush inside. This turns on or off the raspy
sound for which the snare drum was named.
The hi-hat cymbol on the left has a foot pedal, similar to that of the base drum, and is fully adjustable.
This kit is a good starter kit for kids but if your child is going to climb on them, instead of play them, the kit just won't last.
The materials used are not the same as those of a full sized kit but that is reflected in the price.
Next we have the First Act acoustic guitar. It is also miniature to fit your child and a little more rugged than the drum kit.
There is a nice little feature that covers the pointy ends of the guitar strings to protect your child from injury.
The only negative I found with this little guitar is that it had to be tuned frequently. This could be due to the lack of a steel
tensioning rod in the neck that is always present in full size guitars.
In the last photo you can see the two instruments pictured together to give you a sense of scale.
If you are looking for some beginner instruments for your child then First Act has their act together on this duo.
The price is right and they sound good too. Just add vocals and perhaps ear plugs for the parents.
